ADCMS is correct. I'm reading the Gospel of Thomas right now and the forward clearly says that book or Gospel was the first written and is older than the traditional Gospels. So why reject and Gospel of Thomas that they claim the other 4 gospels were apparently taken from? I did notice that the scriptures with the wheat & weeds 'parable' is not really written like a parable in Thomas. Thom 1:21 "Mary said to Jesus: Who are your disciples like? He said: They are like little children who are living in a field that is not theirs..... [Yeah, I know I did a ...] "Therefore I say, if the owner of the house knows that the thief is coming, he will be alert before he arrives and will not him to dig through into his house to carry away his belongings. You, must be on guard and beware of the world [system]. Prepare yourself with great strength or the bandits will find a way to reach you, for the problems you expect will come. Gospel of Judas, that the WT just recently totally discredited, states that Jesus knew who his betrayer would be. if we, readers of that magazine, said the same as written, before october 2012, it would lead to disfellowship.

by *lost* inbeen doing a bit of research trying to tie in together a few different strands.. not too sure what happened to christianity and how organised religion took hold again after the apostles died off.. i know jerusalem was sacked 70 ce.
but lots to fill in from that point onwards to bring us to where we are today.. if a few peeps could help to condense and simplify the info down into a few bite size pieces it would give us a starting point to begin to re-educate ourselves to the truth.

I solved the FB problem with a few clicks. I 'unfriended' all that were still on there.
I have seen a CO get involved with a cong. problem that the local elders can't handle by themselves. Don' meet with them because the CO is only there to protect the cong. & elders. You will be done.

Back when we were still active in the cong. we became friends with a young couple with 2 small kids. They were newly baptized and wanting a better future for their kids. At one of our district conv. we had a brother come out from NY headquarters to give a talk. His talk was about our kids and how there was nothing out in the world for them and Satan just wanted them so he could chew them up, get out all of their youth and vitality then spit them out then Jehovah would have to destroy them at armegeddon. Very graphic and vivid to the young couple. We were standing and talking to them during the lunch break about the graphic talk when the Bethel brother came walking by. We stopped him and introduced ourselves. After several minutes the young mother bluntly asked the brother, "Your talk was kind of disturbing why is Jehovah going to destroy all the children when they're innocent?" I could tell by her shaky voice that this really bothered her.
Guess what the heartless bastard said?
"Well, when a lamb is born they are naturally humble and docile. Here in the Southwest you have rattlesnakes. If you take a baby rattlesnake when its first born and take it away from its mother, when it grows up, its still going to be a rattlesnake and it will still bite you and poison you. That's why Jehovah has to destroy the children also, because of their parents."
I saw the tears in the young mothers eyes and I wanted to smack him one for being a heartless a$$. We told her later when we were alone. "That unlike rattlesnakes that function on instinct, humans have the capacity for love, learning, knowledge and compassion. Jesus can read heart conditions so we can trust him to be a fair judge."
It's funny ironically, that when you learn TTATT, you start thinking back to all the idiotic things you heard & believed as a JW. You realize that you've grown beyond them and have become more HUMAN.
